JOIN OUR ANIMAL CARE TEAM!

Love animals? Don't mind a little dirt under your nails? We're looking for a few amazing volunteers to help care for our animals - and get lots of furry (and feathery) love in return!

Volunteers help with feeding, barnyard and coop cleaning, and spending quality time giving our animals the attention and affection they deserve. The commitment is once a week for a minimum of three months, and the impact you make is huge.

What we're looking for:

Animal lovers who aren't afraid to get a little messy
Dependable, hard-working, and kind-hearted humans
Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
18+ years old (ages 14-17 are welcome with a parent working alongside

FIRST SATURDAY MARKET VOLUNTEER

Our First Saturday Market is one of the most exciting days of the month - and we need energetic, friendly volunteers to help make it amazing!

This role takes place the first Saturday of every month, from 12:30p-5p. Volunteers must be able to stay for the entire shift and be 16 years or older. Jobs are assigned the day of the event based on interest and where helps is needed most.

Possible volunteer roles include:

Guest Check-In & Ticket Sales - Welcome visitors, check in prepaid guests, sell tickets to walk-ins, and help ensure all guests sign a release of liability form.
Event Tables - Help run crafts, games, merchandise tables, or other activity booths throughout the market.
Animal Docent (most volunteers will start here unless requested otherwise) - Spend time with our animals, make sure they're treated kindly, share their stories, and help guests have positive, respectful interactions. You may work with goats, sheep, pigs, a miniature pony, donkeys, ducks, chickens, and turkeys - each one looking for their perfect human helper!
Gatekeepers & Groundskeepers - Help manage guest flow, keep animal areas from becoming overcrowded, review basic guidelines with guests, and make sure everyone (animals included!) stays safe and happy.
And more! Every market is a little different, and we'll place you where you're needed most.

GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Got a crew that loves rolling up their sleeves for a good cause? We love hosting groups and have plenty of meaningful, hands-on projects that are perfect for a team of 10 or more!

Group volunteer days are ideal for school groups, workplace teams, clubs, and organizations looking to make a real impact together. These larger groups help us tackle big projects that make a huge difference for our animals and our sanctuary.

From building and organizing to cleanup and improvement projects, group volunteer days are energetic, rewarding, and a great way to bond while giving back.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Love Always is a vegan animal sanctuary. That means we believe animals are here to be loved - not eaten, exploited for byproducts (like milk, eggs, wool, leather, or fur), or forced into sports, entertainment, or labor.

That said, you do not have to be vegan to volunteer here.

At our core, we believe in being kind to all kinds - people included. Passion for animals should never come at the expense of compassion for humans. We choose to lead by example, not by force, and we never want anyone to feel judged, shamed, or pressured for where they are on their journey.

Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where everyone can show up as themselves - without fear of judgement or ridicule. We believe that kindness and openness bring people together, while criticism and judgement pushes them away.

We're always happy to answer questions about veganism and share how it can positively impact you, the animals, and the planet - but only in a way that feels respectful, supportive, and invitation-based.
