Volunteer

Thanks for your interest in volunteering! Below are the different positions we are currently looking for:

OPEN BARN VOLUNTEER

This position is every Saturday, with rare exceptions. 

  • Volunteers are required to be here from 10:30a to 1:30p and must plan on being here the entire day. 

  • Volunteers must be 16 and older. 

 There are several positions available all of which will be assigned the day of the event.

  • Parking Monitor (direct people where to park)

  • Check-in/Ticket sales (Check-in prepaid guests, sell tickets to walk-ins, have ROL signed by all guests.

  • Event tables (crafts, games, merchandise booth, etc)

  • Animal docent (make sure the animals are treated kindly, share their stories, etc.) We currently have goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, ducks, chickens, and turkeys looking for their docent. Preference will be given to those who can volunteer on a very regular basis before others.

  • Gatekeepers and Groundskeepers (Keep the amount of people in any yard to a minimum, go over guidelines with guests, make sure animals don't get out, etc.)

  • And more (It really just depends on where we need you most!)

ANIMAL CARE

We are looking for a few individuals who can come feed the animals, do some cleanup, and love on the animals once a week for a minimum of three months. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (under 18 must have parent approval and signature), hard working, dependable, not afraid of getting dirty, and fine with working alone or with others.

 

Current days and times available are as follows:

  • Mondays

    • 8am-10am (2 positions)

  • Thursdays

    • 8am-10am (2 positions)

  • Fridays

    • 8am-10am (2 positions)

MONTHLY VOLUNTEER
Help deep clean, build projects, and more. We do not keep contact information on monthly volunteers. To join us for these events, please follow us on EventBrite and sign up when you see the volunteer event posted. Thanks!

  • Typically from 10a-1pm.

  • Individuals and families with kids old enough to pitch in and work (appropriate to their age level) are welcome and encouraged to join.
